Hi,

If you are trying to say that God is evil you are Way, Way off the mark!

That Hebrew word (Rasha, 7561) is actually "Opportunity." The Opportunity to do good or to do evil. The word means to be Godless, to commit evil and it also means to overcome.

It is God that Created "Opportunity" it is man that then does good or evil with the God given opportunity.

A Little or limited capability for good also means a little capability or opportunity for bad.

You dont lay awake at night afraid of a goldfish and also you dont call a goldfish to lend you money or fix your car or help you out of a problem either.

Mankind on the other hand has been created by God to be potentially very, very good and likewise very, very harmful.

The choice and our actions belong to us.

God Bless you,
David

There is a book written by Dr. Myles Monroe called Understanding your Potential. It is quite a powerful book to read and help any saint become aware of the awesome power we contain in our temple.

In this book he cites that very line from the bible. He explained it simply that God is the Creator of all things, both good and evil. Does that make God evil? No, of course not. However, in class as we were studying this book, a saint had a very difficult time in understanding this concept. I simply put it this way. If a normal healthy woman gave birth to a disformed child, does that make the woman disformed? The answer is no. So too it is with God, just because He chose to create evil, it does not make Him evil.

God gives birth to the heavens and hosts in heaven. God gives birth to the earth and the things of the earth. Therefore is God evil because He produced those things that are meant for destruction? No, He is holy, sovereign, and good. ~Minister Falcon

Hi OmsFalcon,
Good points!

I agree and I think that God has already clearly decided that for us humans to Live and to experience some evil, since we are in the fallen condition, is better than not to live at all and therefore not to experience anything.

Of course this originates from Genesis as Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of both Good and Evil.

God Bless you,
David
